Not a twisted sprain but bent the toes back too many times, Started as level 2 but got worse as I kept stepping on deadfall or in holes. Got serious when I slipped while crossing a ditch near the end of the course. Top of the foot is swollen and cannot be bent without pain.
Wrapped it after finishing and iced it in the evening.
Iced, wrapped and stayed off of it. Did not seem that bad when it happened so I expected it to get better fast.
