R Lower Leg, Achilles Tendonitis

2016-01-19 – 2016-04-06

Grade: 1

not painful at this point, just stiffness, but it is there in the morning and during the first part of the run. then loosens up after 20 min into the run. then stiffens after sitting for extended periods. so it is officially "a thing". hopefully, icing and strengthening will resolve before serious training starts. haha, famous last words.

achilles is back, stiff in morning, achey on run, but it did loosen up, then stiff after sitting for awhile. ice and heat treatment.

FB #4 4M and no pain, really didn't notice it at all, so I have to say this bout of achilles stiffness has ended. I'll keep an eye on it. It was never really painful and did not stop my training, just icing profylactically. might continue that just to make sure it stays OK.

4/6/2016: going to call this resolved since it is no longer a limiter for training. it's still sometimes tight but I could train through the tightness which loosened up during R workouts and was not noticeable. possibly, subconscious compensation cause the calf injury on the opposite left calf from the right achilles tightness.
