Sick, Cold

2015-03-13 – 2015-03-20

Grade: 3

sore throat, fever, loss of appetite

Maybe if I had been a little more on my toes I might have avoided this cold. I avoided a warning sign, a slight tickle at the back of my throat. If I had started gargling with salt water then I might have cleared that up and avoided everything that followed.

What helped me recover was gargling with salt water, lots of rest (Sat-Mon; I only missed the one day of work), advil (which at the very least helped me to get some sleep, dispelled a couple headaches and, one night, a pain in my jaw; a single dose of NyQuil towards the end of the recovery process); eating lots of applesauce (whoel foods brand all natural; no sugar, water, or vitamin C added); drinking ginger tea with lemon; taking an extra multi vitamin each day for about 4 days
