R Knee, Other

2010-10-13 – ?

Grade: 3

I have to list this as other. It is the culmination of a lifetime of terrible biomechanics derived from several specific imbalances and weaknesses. Started on a 13 miler with a ripping pain in lower knee/ upper shin that gravitated up to all around knee. It took me 3 months of resting it and failed attempts to run to get me to a doctor and a PT plan that has dominated all of my free time since. It took almost a year to get to doing any running and it has been a second year of ups and downs with the knee. I have been able to race during the ups and struggle to do much without heavy irrittion during the downs. My training has been very cross-training based always running no more then every other day and often less.
