Grade: 2

Not sure what sort of injury this is. About june 2 the occasional 'ankle locks' that had been happening while at my desk (twiddling ankles) got worse (connected to banging shin?). Became progressively stronger and intermittently more frequent. Pain moves around from top of ankle to side, and even higher. At times wondered if it was the joint or even the fibula. Some minor swelling at times. Initial Dr. and xrays suggest perhaps some achilles swelling. Associated with other ailments in left leg. i presume this is related to compensation from hip..? No pain when exercising, but at desk or laying on floor it can suddenly become sharp and strong. the day that it happened multiple times i got quite sore and needed ice and a wrap. When i went to the dr. june 2 i started wearing an ankle brace all the time, just to remind me not to twirl my ankle, though it may also have provided useful support.

Doc just says with loose joints this is just part of my future. There are three responses i can take: do nothing, continue the alleve/ice/heat/brace/care i'm now doing, or surgery to tighten the loose ligaments. I am cleared to exercise as long as it doesn't hurt.
