L Upper Leg, Hamstring Pain

2007-02-22 – 2007-02-27

Grade: 2

caught right toe on stump during trail run & hyper-extended left leg to prevent falling on face. immediate sharp pain in back of left leg at base of buttock. for next 2 days, only able to run slowly and for short distances, improved but still noticeable on O' competition on 3rd day following injury. Feels pretty much normal on Feb 26, although we'll see if I do some running tomorrow.

Thought it was completely healed, but sitting in driver's seat for 10 hours driving to raleigh March 1 and 2 was mildly uncomfortable. At the start of the Sprint (March 2), I tripped leaving the call-up line & felt it pull a little again. It bothered me very slightly throughout the Sprint, and also through Middle Distance Race (March 3). Surprisingly, it did not bother me in the long race on Sunday (March 4) except for noticing it once or twice when I stumbled or jumped.
