R Lower Leg, Calf Strain

2011-06-07 – 2011-07-21

Grade: 3

calf had been feeling a little tight on runs for a couple of weeks, but usually worked out within 10-15 minutes.

sprinting up hill on toes and something went bad. very painful to run, very painful to walk properly, can manage pain by walking with limp. doesn't hurt at rest. Better on the 8th than on 7th. Iced 3 x's on 7th.
On 9th could walk with slight limp and minimal to no pain - more like stiffness
no pain spinning on trainer - twinges if I stand in pedals. gentle stretch and light massage before ice
10th - can walk with no pain at moderate normal gait - just feel tight. Tentative on stairs. Cannot go up on tip toes.
One week in - no issues with day to day activities.. still no tip toes or feels like will spasm... Will do some hard riding as soon as I get my bike back!!!!
Got cocky and pushed it on day 15... tightened up a little but I don't think I did any more damage... need more time, stretch, masage, ice

I still get the odd moment when I think something is getting too tight, but I am able to do anything pain free if properly warmed up... so, Good to Go
