Top of hamstring right at my butt and excess time running/biking causes pain in knee. Feels like my hamstring is tight (and is stretching) but muscle is weak pushing back or range of motion limited swinging leg forward.
cause maybe from two international flights over a month including too much car, bus, train time sitting and sitting. Also both races had over 30mi of running w/ a heavy pack and loads of stress that were bookend w/ the prolonged sitting.
active recovery, (easy) stretching, ice, rolling (foam roller, trigger point stuff) and strengthening exercises. Stayed away from anything that would aggravate it (running, excessive stretching) and worked on lengthening and getting out knots and getting blood into it.
