OCIN TROL / WARS #11 - Twelve Mile: OCIN_Twelve_Mile_Preserve_Feb_2019_4 Brown
Feb 16, 2019 (event: OCIN TROL / WARS #11 - Twelve Mile)
Twelve Mile Preserve (private) near California, Kentucky. Courses by Stephanie Ross and Jim Benton. This was a mostly sunny day, with temperatures slowly climbing from low 20’s to low 30’s. Cold winds froze the volunteers in the open-sided shelter building, but once on the course, it was a reasonably pleasant day for orienteering. The recent rains made footing slippery, but not sloppy wet. Thanks to all volunteers who helped with this event, especially Matthew Robbins, Mike Minium, Tom Svobodny, Joe Roman, Paul Roman, Shane Dawalt, Laurie Sydzyik. Thanks to Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church for use of their parking, shelter building, and restrooms, and access across their property into Twelve Mile.
