Race Evaluation

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day: Blue 1

Tundra/Desert

1. I had a perfectly clean race, short of some hesitation at this first control, where I confused a boulder with a dot on the i in the text "Pitcher Hill". I went to check out the boulder, just to make sure there was no my control on it; it was well short of the correct location, but right on the way.
2.
3.
4. I took high routes everywhere.
5.
6.
7.
8. I got pulled off to the left, to an unmapped rock pile because right upon approach, a boulder was covered by the control circle and I confused it with the mapped rock triangle.
9. Ran after Ed White. He was on Red and moving faster than I.
10. This route was really sweet.
11.
12.
13.
14. I think this route was just fine. I could have done better (been more direct) around the beaver ponds.
15. Raced Charlie Shahbazian.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20. The control was well to the right of where it was mapped.
F. And the distance to the Finish could not have been more than 70 meters.
