4. | +00:30 | First thought: Plan was to go north on path, but sloppy on exit led me south. Carried on, but over compensated before control. 4/11 re-run gave me 1:29 for the leg. That is a lot of time lost for a simple leg like this...

7. | First thought: Not sure if going straight just below the cliffs would have been faster. 4/11 re-run gave me exact same time for the leg, so I suspect no time loss from going left.
8. | First thought: Probably faster to stay closer to the line for first half of leg, then right of water tank. 4/11 re-run gave me 5:36. So the faster pace on the path over the hill picks up the difference. No time loss.

11. | +00:30 | First thought: No need for the extra contours on exit from 10 and the descend to 12 could have been quick had I stayed clear of the cliff before the control. 4/11 re-run gave me 4:08 for the leg, even if going further right. Descend better, but still rocky and thorny. Not sure how to get a better split for this leg.
12. | +01:15 | First thought: Inaccurate control exit direction led me further to the right than planned. A bit confused. Should have stayed on the line. 4/11 re-run gave me 2:40 and this time I actually dropped to far to the right.
13. | +00:45 | First thought: I'm wondering if going further south/left of the line would have made running possible on this leg? 4/11 re-run gave me 7:02. This surprised me a bit, but can perhaps be explained as a combination of fresher legs and less steep climbing? Not sure though - it might just be that the ability to keep running outweighs the extra distance traveled ... curious about what route Ian took to get 6:47 here.
