Thought I knew where I was, but was apparently wrong, since the expected trail never showed up, and I eventually found myself up at the power-line ride, over at the houses. Came back south on the road and cut in between a couple of houses. Saw somebody behind me early during this leg -- maybe Ken? and Boris came into the control right behind me. | |||||
| 7. | Took off ahead of Boris, arrived at vicinity of the control just before him, and spotted the control behind a rock before he did. | ||||||
| 8. | Blasted straight, looking for marsh, with Boris just ahead, but headed for the right rock when he went for the wrong one. | ||||||
| 9. | Followed unmapped trail that fed into indistinct trail about 250 m left of the straight line. Followed that to uphill grade, then cut right, went by #5, and followed ridge most of the way to the control (nice unmapped trail up there). | ||||||

| 12. | Boris showed up as I was leaving #11, but I'm not sure if he knew whether I had found the control yet. | ||||||
