Race Evaluation

Colorado 5-Day: US Relay Champs: Green

1. Left around the corral, though the earlier runners had gone right. Up the reentrant that's under the line, although going further west to he bigger one might have also been a good idea.

4. Got to the circle OK, found a pit, but didn't initially see that there were several pits on the map. Lex and Nadim (on different courses) were there, and I turned to see Lex at the correct pit.
5. Nadim went to the road, but I went straight. Figured this would be kind of a tough conrol, because the area looked vaguely mapped. Felt tired, walked slowly, but found it no problem.
6. Ugh. Plan was fine, execution poor. Didn't pick up the trail, so instead of going through the saddle, I went over the hill to the west of it, three extra lines. Sloppy attack, lost contact, and found a control on a pit. Found the pit on the map 100 m S of where I wanted to be, and had no trouble from there.
7.
8. More bad execution. Started out fine, then went too far left after crossing reentrant, and wandered through all the big rocks before correcting.
