Race Evaluation

Billygoat Run: Billygoat

bl

1. one sound idea is to keep PG in sight - many "temptations" at beginning - running along wall almost to end looks good
2. straight climb - really wanted to head to 3 NE along contour and cliff faces, less climb, then NW to lg trail and then smaller
3.
4.
5. skip - must have been the tour on the M&M trail (to 6) mentioned at breakfast...
6.
7.
8.
9. 3-9 was about keeping PG or others in sight - faster gp which did not skip kept these few short controls lively
10. after a third of this leg, only 1 competitor in sight - never did figure out who
11. mostly alone - felt OK climbing the hill before 11 - saw Carl Childs there, later Alar
12.
13.
14. saw Carl running the other way, bk toward 13, Alar passed, could not keep up - had to concentrate
15. got to the left too much - must have cost me 1.5' - Carl got ahead again
16. at this point, O was pretty easy
17. JJ passed me in pkng lot, but still had not skipped
18. went in to thighs - one of the Goods got stuck in front of me - said then he started cramp
19. attenuated the climb by being as far right as I could - around here saw Peggy D and Bernard Breton
20.
