1. | +00:05 | I thought the first control was going to be super close, as from the course notes, and it was pretty close, but I still had to stop and double check! Silly.
2. | +05:00 | Stayed on the right side/higher ground to make sure I hit the trail. Lesson here is not to use the end of a trail as an AP, which I was thinking at the time, but still didn't pay attention to distance. Ran too far, ran around, on the way back to the trail to bail I saw the boulder. Ridiculous.
3. | +03:30 | Confused the purple area with the yellow marsh. Ridiculous again.
4. | Didn't really recognize the saddle on the map, just the hill in the depression, so it took some adjustment to find it. Starting to get back on track.
5. | Just headed uphill towards the major features. A bit lucky in recognizing everything.
6. | Stayed low, good idea with cliffy things, easier to recognize the reentrants.
7. | Good line, but it was straight downhill...with good awareness of the area around the feature. Finally, confident and no problems.
8. | Decided to take the linear features to the left and attack down the beautiful ridge from the trail. This was great. Good call.
9. | Trail most of the way, attacked from the bend. Could have been more aggressive along the trail. Marsh at the attack was clear. Water features! Blue!
10. | A little squirrelly. Not always a good direction day.
11. | Very careful to the trail and then down the ridge. A good approach, and I probably couldn't have pushed it.
