Race Evaluation

US Team Trials: Blue

Wyatt

1. Reran course 6/16/2003, 7:30pm
2.
3. Rerun: Strangely slower than 1st time. Partly I wasn't as pumped. Partly I did need to read the map a little more to make sure I found the true spot.
4. Rerun: Starting to get a little tired, and it's not a real race, so... Plus it was late evening and I'd had a headache for the prior 4 hours, so I was at top physical shape, even given my current foot issue.
5.
6.
7. Rerun: Tried to do Brian May's big-time winning route (L across hill tops) but hosed it two ways (first went too far L, then too far R...) Probably lost nearly 2 minutes
8. Rerun: Knowing which bump in the green is the mapped one to run behind really helps.
9. Rerun: S out of control, then E. Got stuck a lot. During real race I went E across swamp...
10.
11. Rerun: Way wigglier and hit more green than during race. Mostly sloppiness.
12. Rerun: Getting dark (I started at 7:30) enough that I was a little slow due to footing visibility from this point to the finish.
