Race Evaluation

Boggs '14: Red Middle

whubsch

1. 0 Just ran as fast as possible to win the split.
2. P R 3 Chugged up the hill. I stopped a little early, but then I saw people ducking behind a rock 15 meters ahead.
3. P P 4 I planned to contour around from the road to the reentrant. There was another reentrant before the right one, and I stopped an investigated. The mapping was a little whack for sure.
4. P P R 2 Nothing special, contour with a little climb.
5. P D P R 2 I was on track, but I got confused and distracted by the terrace I could see above me. I investigated, but I should've just gone straight.
6. 1 Just an uphill battle, you could see the ocntrol about halfway there.
7. 2 Even more uphill. I walked this whole thing.
8. D P R 4 I did all the right things until I got close. The vegetation was unhelpful, and the trails did not seem to help at all, partly because I couldn't find them. I spent so long just walking around just hoping I would get lucky. The control seemed a little further east than it should've been.
9. 1 Pretty fun leg, just straight running. I had to tie my shoe however.
10. P R 2 I found a super shallow reentrant that was not mapped, which had me confused for ~20 seconds, but then I continued down the hill.
11. 1 I just wanted to win this split, so I did.
12. P R 2 Again, I wanted to win this split, so I ran the entire time and didn't stop for anything.
13. P 4 I found a rock, but it wasn't the one to the northwest of the control, which is what I thought. In the end, I ended up looking around way too short, a great end to a great day.
14. P D 2 I was kind of fed up, so I just ran, didn't nail it but didn't bomb it either.
15. 1 To go control.
F. Fastest finish split of the weekend, by anyone on any course.
