Lacked concentration | I was far too anxious, looking forward to this event, and I could not focus on map, stumbling in to first control.
2. | Put on the jets for path to #2 - as a spectator awaiting start, I had seen route to #2 even if I couldn't see control hidden behind wall.
3. | Down the hill but went to parking-lot side of road, looking like an idiot to the spectators there. I even asked them not to say anything.
4. | Left road too early for control that was not in our sprint. Even so, I was fired up to run hard down road after screwups so far.

6. | +00:20 | Ascending hill, I veered to the building right of control.
7. | Raced two peers up the hill and both punched before me, arghh!

Ran too fast Read map too late Not thinking clearly +02:00 | My race blew up here. In oxygen dep, I misread map & raced down hill heading for #4. Nearing road I realised I'd been there & headed up & across pasture for #13, then checked map & realised had to visit #12 which I had flown by during first descent. It's so unfortunate because it was such an easy leg, done correctly.
13. | +01:10 | I drifted W upon entering woods and found myself on wrong trail to control.

Did not read control description | I took the trails but passed control and messed round buildings beyond control. I should have gone overland for short trip to control. I was likely too frustrated after two big messes. In next sprint I've got to key down the anxiety.
