West Point: RedX day 1

1. Cross dam, go to yellow, past the two boulders.
2. +02:00Get stuck at the swamp, have to fight along to its southern end.

4. Follow the contours to angled park boundary, keep going, see first indinstict trail, cross stream, up to flat area under control.
5. +01:00Go somewhat west to avoid climb, have to fight back through overgrown area. Direct route probably faster.
6. Run along swamp, pass the plane wreck, use the trail for a few meters, over the little spur.
7. +01:00Run along on and off trail along lake, cross flat area with lots of trees and rocks to control. Confused, don't see my last punch, but it is on the punch card. Silly confusion of mind. Or a little breather, whatever.
8. +03:00Down to lake, to trail, pull up toward north side of hill, contours along, see blue control on rocky knoll. Think I'm higher than I'm, start looking into reentrant about 150m before control, crawl and climb along the hill to correct control.
9. Down the hill to jeep trail, go to powerline/lake and cross to hiking trail. Good running for those who still can run. Follow park boundary to control.
