1. | Finally, something runnable. Not for long, though.

Read map too late +00:50 | Missed a tad right, trying to figure out whether the rocks I saw were the mapped ruin or not. Stopped to retroactively read the mapped segments of fencing, corrected, went N and found the bag.

Bad compass work +01:20 | Missed way right. Dave recovered me.

Bad route choice +01:30 | Went around all the green and the reentrants to the left. A bad choice, looking at the split; decided to push through the green from now on, also recalled yesterday's penetration of the DVGL.
6. |
Lacked confidence +02:50 | Started to implement the plan right away, slid down the merged contour lines while clinging to greenbriars to slow the fall. Was still very tentative on the penetration part and ended up hitting the creek to the left, past the bag. Chickened out by the plants, went down to the creek bottom and walked the mud up to the bag.

Confused parallel features +00:30 | Wide L to the blue dashed line, SE end. Went N to the pool and up the R fork of the ditch from it, did not notice that there was more than one fork.
8. |
Bad route choice +01:00 | It took forever (3 minutes) to get to the point where the road started going up the hill (junction with trail/bridge), going straight. Should have taken the field/trail from the very bag.
9. | Hit the ditch ESE of the control. Don't think this is a time loss, since to find a solid attack point in the MG is worth going 100 m out of the way (I didn't plan to go that wide, though). Mihai is at the control (+6). He says he's been looking for it forever.
10. | Mihai blasts up the hill like it's Billygoat. I get to the MG on the E side of the stream and decide to cross the stream low and take a chance through the DVGL on the other side. It was sweet; the DVGL's were mostly decomposed. Mihai went wide left and got confused in the MFGT ESE of the bag. I did not give away the control to him (you couldn't see the bag until you were at it, hidden behind an FGT).

Did not like map +01:00 | Around the reentrants. Before attacking the control from the trail bend, I thought to be extra cautious, knowing first hand about the correlation ratio between Georgy's depicted trail bends and the reality. The bend was just fine but the reentrantology described SE of it was flaky. Searched the one SW of the bag before recovering. It's a strange feeling when the general relief of the area is clearly visible but the ground cover isn't, and neither is the bag. You still have to search the surroundings to make sense of them, instead of just taking an overall look.
12. | On the trail, Mihai on the way to #11, 5 minutes back if he's clean.

Took a chance +01:35 | Thought that I should take my chance across the heavily greened reentrant in order to have a shot at Randy and Ted (Mihai, check). Some contortionism to get through the flora (I mapped like stuff as DG at Joe Grant). I was at the SE corner of the "orchard" at 4:05 into the leg, probably would have been about 2:30 on the trail around.
