WCOC BBQ and Meeting: Sprint A

PBricker

1. Trail to junction, turn left.
2. Straight.
3. Angle to small trail, turn left, left at fork and in.
4. Big trail to indistinct trail which I took for a bit, then straight over the spur and spiked it.
5. North to small trail, then big trail, left at the junction. Saw the beginning of the cliff, went a bit further until there was a break in the laurel and went around the cliff to the right and up. (The only time I looked at clues was to check the two big cliffs for control location; both were "on top of". Sneaky.)
6. Trail, past the cluster on the right a bit, then angled in right to it.
7. Left of the marsh, hitting the cliff dead center. Then around to the right and up.
8. +01:30Due west to the trail, but slow going. Then I must have been enjoying my trail run because I blew by the little pond (pit full of water) that I wanted to attack from and kept going past the junction thinking, I can't really be here yet, and then, still enjoying my trail run (so why stop?) and went almost all the way to 9 before I said, "Well, I really am way down here" and went back to the little water hole and contoured in from there. It's sad how often lately may only or biggest mistakes have been lapses of concentration while running on a trail.
9. Due west, hitting the big trail just above the junction.
10. Around.
11. +00:20Back to the main trail, through crap, then all the way around past the parked cars. Probably faster to go north to the trail.
F. Trail!
