Started at the some time as Mihai (on Red), and for no good reason went tearing down the trail behind him. Eventually realized that I was on the trail to the left of the control, not the one I wanted on the right. Headed left, and figured if I pushed left enough, I'd find the rocks. Saw Ted Good coming up the hill en route to #5, and shortly after, found the control by luck. Probably was better than my intended route, since I avoided all the stony ground.
2. Wheee!

5. Pretty much due north, on trails where available, to the campground road, then a straight shot from the water tower.
6. Through the @#%$! rocks, then left to the stream as soon as I could. Trudged up the hill, trail through the edge of the overgrown field, then in along the base of the steep slope. Just as I arrive, I hear Vladimir scream, presumably having just found it after being lost for a while.

Ooh, gotta stay ahead of Vlad. Okay, well, gotta keep up with Vlad. Well,... hey where are we going anyway? I think the control is way over there...
8. Contoured a while, then across the big reentrant and caght the tip of the trail bend for an attack point.
9. Contoured, hesitated for a moment on the edge of the circle trying to find a boulder on my map, then decided that since I could see a platform up above, and it was the only one in the area...

As I was getting close, Will went *tearing* by at an incredible speed. I also thought he was going too much downhill. Went more or less where he was going, and got into too much briars. Looked like he might be heading all the way to the trail, but when I culd see people moving along on it, I headed back up to find the boulder. Thought I could see Will leaving as I approached.
16. This was a "figure it out later" leg, where I just headed over to the vicinity and didn't worry about an attack until later. 2/3 of the way there, I realized that this was probably a very bad idea. Fortunately, I could see the buildings down below, and used them as a distant handrail to slide right into the control -- sweet!
17. As I head downhill, Will was standing a couple of lines below the control looking around. He must have had an amazing run before he caught me!
18. Straight.
