Note

ACCOMMODATION, BRITISH CHAMPS WEEKEND
if you know or hear of anyone who may have a spare bed or sofa on the Saturday night (May 19th), please give them my name. I have a bed in the Braemar hostel for Friday, but not the Saturday. I'll have my car so pretty flexible on locations.

6 PM

running (terrain) 38:04 [3] 4.42 km (8:37 / km) +140m 7:26 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 340

Fallinge Edge
heather deeper than I'd hoped on the top, followed some of the old mining tracks up the slope then dropped down, hard work, hot (23.9°)

Wednesday Apr 18 #

6 PM

running 23:51 [3] 4.35 km (5:29 / km) +60m 5:08 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

noodling around Stanton before some intervals, 22°

running intervals 16:20 [5] 2.7 km (6:03 / km) +120m 4:57 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

hill intervals:
4 x 1min (off 2mins, jog/rest), covering about 260m and 15m+ climb
3 x 40secs (off 2mins), covering 120m and 20m

on the floor at the end so I guess that's effort

running warm up/down 15:39 [2] 2.44 km (6:25 / km) +40m 5:56 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailclaw 250

easy run between sets of intervals and back to the car

Little Bumper Piece, Fallinge Edge, Harland Edge, Beeley
felt pretty tired today so very surprised how easy this was, a lot of climb, but a nice route

Sunday Apr 15 #

11 AM

running warm up/down 24:00 [2] 1.5 km (16:00 / km) +300m 8:00 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

jog/walk/scramble to the start, downed some jellybabies during the short wait for slot

12 PM

Orienteering race 1:08:00 [5] 8.13 km (8:22 / km) +240m 7:17 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

Lingmoor, Short Brown 2
worth the three hour drive for some proper orienteering, decent run too, one small miss, a hesitation or three, and got the crucial route choice wrong (climb the hill and get your reward), evidently got a long way to go to compete in the Lakes in more ways than one

13th, 10mins behind Graham Patten, 9 on Chas and Quention, 15secs behind Frostbite
