Cycling (Commute) 41:28
18.38 km (26.6 kph)
Pushed hard and burned out on the last hill. Unpleasantly cold to start wiith
10 AM
Cycling 1:41:51 [3] 43.44 km (25.6 kph)
Had a long coffee waiting for the air to warm up. Initially intended to do the loop around the river. However the moderate cold easterly was sufficiently discouraging.
Walking 45:00 [1] 3.0 km (4.0 kph)
Brik walk around Carine Swamp
Walking 2:08:00 [1] 7.6 km (3.6 kph)
Examination of new area near Clackline for the National relay Champs next year. It is an area that most orienteers will be happy with. Plenty of rock detail as well as opportunities for fast running
Cycling 1:27:41 [4] 42.33 km (29.0 kph)
Cold morning with a slight southerly helped to maintain a good pace up the coast. pushed up some of the hills to maximise the workout. On the way back it felt like I got lost in Padbury but the map trace says that following your nose (and keeping an eye on where the sun is located) works.
MTBO 2:08:28 [4] 30.0 km (4:17 / km)
No GPS but felt like a long way. Route choice today was dominated by what was easiest to ride and not neccassarily the shortest route. No major mistakes today. Enjoyed the course even though it was much longer than it was supposed to be
