Birthday track day! Katherine decided she was done sleeping for the night around 0330, just to fall back asleep at 0530, but that meant I was up for the day. Dragged myself to PT, and the 800 warm-up followed by strides, butt-kickers, and other drills was just enough to get the blood flowing. 8x200 intervals, held back too much on the first one- 56 seconds, but then did 51, 46, 48, 45, 44, 46, and 43 seconds. 200 easy jog in between each. Easy 800 cool-down.
Base 5k for command PT today, but on the track, so it's not like anyone was really pushing hard, the time is an estimate, and the course was at least 200m short. Also, K was on a sleep strike last night (teething/growth spurt/generalized almost-toddler crankiness? all of the above? something else entirely? who knows)
