"Touring" the Grand Staircase hikes. Not sure if it was my mood, but these bored me today.

Grape Stomper course. Wanted to break 40 min and maybe my PR (39:49). "Had" to beat the season best time at the Y of 41:40. Rode as hard as I could virtually the entire way to make it. Somehow, my ghost was gaining on me at the end... Top 20% overall; missed to 20% age group by two seconds. Improved my overall record at the Y; now lead by just under two minutes. P:218; C:57.

Heart rate did NOT want to come down. Plateaued at 122 for a long while and only made it to 113.
