Classic ski 1:35:48 11.68 km (8:12 / km)
Very chill ski with Karen. Tracks were excellent on upper trails and a bit slippy down low. Used mohairs today. Definitely slower than the wax skis. Beautiful day with high clouds and the trees plastered with snow.
Classic ski 1:20:49 15.04 km (5:22 / km)
Perhaps the last ski before a new weather system. Tracks were firm. Ironed one layer of SwixViolet ķlister on top of what was left from last outing. The B ski had ķlister for 10 cms from the heel--don't know how that happened but I scraped it off before I melted in today's wax. Had excellent grip but felt slow on the flats and downs. Will shorten the grip zone next time.
Stayed on the ski school loop with a couple of Hollyburn/Burfield loops to finish. Great ski.
Classic ski 1:18:59 13.33 km (5:56 / km)
Very nice classic on firm tracks. -1° C but it had been down to -8 overnight. Ironed in a base binder of Toko green hard wax and then ironed in one layer of Swix violet klister--it worked very well. I used Matt's Fischer CS which had been in the ski closet unused for at least 15 years. They were happy to get on the trails. The only downer to this sunny day was the ski school groups sprawled across the lower, less hilly areas I wanted to use.
