Wasn't forcing it, but was running at a decent intensity so ended up being a bit quicker than the last few times here. Basically been tapering for 10 days so not surprised I had a bit more energy to play with.

Normally, if I'd had a week like this I probably would have made this into a raz just to get a bit of quality and fast pace, but I didn't want to put any extra pressure through the toe to make sure it gets fully healed.

Normally this would be a double day, buy just keeping it at a single because I I want to keep my compeed on as long as possible. Tried to keep it really easy at the start, then got into it a bit more once I hit Mortonhall, still keeping it chill though. Leg's still pretty pickled from their time off.

Easy cruise on the Pencaitland railway

Legs a bit mashed from yesterday, quite impressed by how much the muscles seemed to have degraded in just 5 days off running. Aerobically im good shape, as the CV system has had 5 easy days in a row. Foot feeling fine, good stuff.

Easy round the Meadows

Blister seems to finally be at the stage where the skin looks vaguely human. Put a new compeed on and tried a micro jog in the flat. Everything felt gucci, so went down to the Meadows in case I needed to bail. Felt fine for the whole run, legs had turned into Turkey meat with 5 days off, so a bit of soreness there. Onwards then.
