First ever Zwift race. Didn't really know what to expect, heard it was pretty brutal so entered cat B with Coombsy (who missed the start by 20mins) and goal was to just hang on. Knew the starts were hard, so went big and tried to stay near the front as long as possible. After about 15mins of 4-5w/kg I realised that they mass start all the races at the same time and I was actually at the front of the cat A race. Actually felt alright, certainly not on the limit and confident that I could finish in the front group. Became obvious that a lot of people were on the ropes on the second lap as gaps were forming on short ramps, so stayed at the front waiting for the last climb and then went full gas for the grind up the the finish. Finished at the back of lead group, got instantly banned from cat B. Lovely.
