Mayhem Gulch - cooler than recently, and a storm coming in. Was impressed by my 8:38 mile (admittedly downhill on a smooth trail with the wind behind me, but even so...).

Chimney Gulch from Lions Park. I was going to run at N Table, but switched to Chimney Gulch in the hope of cooler temperatures. I'm glad I did - after the first road crossing it was mostly in the shade and cool, and the woods higher up were gorgeous. Just above the first road crossing I was warned about a family of skunks - I didn't see them, but did smell them! Only wildlife I saw was a chipmunk. For some reason I saw far more people when I was on the way down than on the way up.

At Observatory. Fun course although the first and last part were in the ankle twisting clear cut areas, and great views of the Indian Peaks in the first part of the course.
