10 Day Forecast
I love the 10 day forecast. This means the race is coming nearer and more detailed planning can occur. I will wake up every morning and check the race day forecast to see how it has changed. It marks taper, rest, and the beginning of the nervous energy. I love this period of race prep!
Race Day high of 66, low of 43 with 60% max humidity and a chance of showers.

I still have a runny nose right now. Hopefully this will clear up in the next few days. I had some mucus buildup in my throat yesterday during the marathon pace miles.
Legs are a little achy today, probably from the miles I logged yesterday in the mud and roots...

Ran at Northwest River Park (http://www.chesapeake.va.us/services/depart/park-r...) Extremely root and muddy trails. Was in mud most of the time I was off road. Spent a most of my time running on sandy hard packed roads.
1 mile easy, 1 mile marathon pace, see gps data for splits
Lessons Learned:
Mud and roots can really slow you down, make you work harder.
