Up Beinn Eighe. Three summits, the first of which is my lifetime favourite. Just epic. I love Torridon.

Got a bit shafted by a very steep descent into a gigantic boulder field. Then a very rocky path for the last few km really burned my poor joints.

On the plus side I'm still feeling really good! I don't know whose legs I'm using but they certainly aren't mine.

Walking 1:30:00 [0] 8.0 km (11:15 / km) +640m 8:02 / km
(rest day)

Had a luxury night in a B&B on Skye to try and get over a week of very little sleep in the cold. Needed a rest day so walked up The Storr. Pretty dramatic place, although overrun with tourists. Logging this because I powerwalked the steep climb to the top and the descent was seriously thigh burning.

Note

Fun fact: I've climbed 9083m in the last 12 days. Another 1000m (at least) planned for tomorrow, Thurs and Fri. Then rest. Too much?

Running 4:33:42 intensity: (51:43 @1) + (1:18:37 @2) + (2:10:51 @3) + (12:26 @4) + (5 @5) 29.84 km (9:10 / km) +2233m 6:40 / km

Actively spectating the Glencoe Skyline. A few orienteers to cheer at various points. And seeing Killian was v exciting. Mental race but Glencoe is awesome and the weather was perfect.

Running 40:08 [3] 4.65 km (8:38 / km) +40m 8:16 / km

From the Bothy back to the cars again with heavy packs. Managed about 1 hour sleep last night. Very tired.
12 PM

Running 58:28 [3] 7.2 km (8:07 / km) +176m 7:14 / km

Easy to visit some caves.

Running 39:11 [3] 4.52 km (8:40 / km) +242m 6:50 / km

Bone caves. Dieing and falling asleep on the run.

Thursday Sep 14 #

Running 3:22:48 [3] 16.12 km (12:35 / km) +798m 10:05 / km

Suilven with Paul. The most intense run ever. Brutal weather and a bit sketchy on the ridge with shear drops either side, thick clag and strong wind. We survived and made it to the trig point.
