This week's MaprunF at Deer Lake Park. It was a beautiful, warm day and we got going a little later than we wanted. I was worried that it was going to be busy, but as long as you avoided the boardwalk right by the water it wasn't hard to avoid people. The course was fun but I think that the error range for the GPS was much smaller on this event. I had to wait at the control point for 5-10 seconds on about 75% of the controls. It meant that I definitely did not get the same sense of flow due to all the stopping and starting.
I did a bunch of planks and push-ups while I waited for mom to finish.

Went out to UBC to run the sprint camp courses that I didn't actually run at sprint camp. It was a gorgeous day and the courses were perfectly challenging (although I had looked at them in detail before sprint camp and listened to people talk about them after sprint camp so I was aware of the best solutions for most of the navigation problems). I had a couple of 10 second errors and an unread control description which sent me to the bottom of some stairs two times that I actually didn't have to go down but otherwise pretty clean. The largest error of the day was getting stuck inside the fence around Place Vanier when we were trying to get back to the car. I should know better than to try and cut through there!

I also threw in some planks, push-ups, and dips to stay warm while I waited for my parents to finish.

Campus was beautiful with all the cherry blossoms in full glory and even though there were a fair number of people out, it was very easy to give everyone many metres of distance at all times.
