Nice run from Ditchling Beacon. Feeling pretty good this morning. Was meant to do 70 but completely underestimated how far down it was to the university.

Note

Managed to fit a game of T20 cricket in before my flight. So pretty much 90min of standing around with a stride every 10min. Then opened batting and forgot how hot you get sprinting in helmet and pads. Probably about 20 strides in this. 31no though. Not bad for first game in 3 or 4 years.

Initial plan a while back was Highgate today but with lack of fitness and iffy achilles on the track I decided to just have a chilled weekend at home as still had the flights.

Test ran a leg for the Harvester my dad is planning as realised wasn't feasible for me to race it as too many weekends away. It was good fun. Would love to either do as a relay or at night and preferably both.

Dropped bag off then from train station onto the southdowns. Can't not love this place when the sun is out. Excitement definitely outweighed the tired legs and I was flying along the flats and downs.

Well I felt extremely grim on the WU. Tempted to just go for an easy one but (not quoting exactly as I can't remember the book word for word yet) I'm sure Coach Cassidy says you should always do the first two reps and then make a decision.

I was aiming for 67/68 and starting I felt grim but it didn't get worse and the times were good. Until the last set when it starting hurting a lot but the times stayed so all was good.

I think this is one the first really nice days at the track. I don't think it has worked out I come on a Thursday so hasn't got it's usual wind and rain prepared.
