Friday Dec 15 #

Gym 40:00 [3]

Usual routine
Cold much better, cough receding.

Note

Wandering about at Corsedardar...recce for February DNC

Thursday Dec 14 #

Note

Well disappointed. Was really looking forward to the latest Ballogie battle at the Cnoc Dubh race tonight. Too much coughing and sneezing going on.

Wednesday Dec 13 #

Turbo 45:00 [3]

Orienteering 48:00 [3]

DNC - Carlogie
Probably shouldn't have run this. Bunged up with the cold and coughing now.
Hence not very motivated and concentration from the beginning very lacking. Poor routes to 1 and 2 didn't set things up very well and confused at the first fence crossing by the tracks.
Shame.

Tuesday Dec 12 #

Note

Coughing and spluttering a wee bit again. Day off to try and kill it.

Monday Dec 11 #

Trail 30:00 [3]

Academy Running Club
Dark evenings, glassy pavements and roads and lively youngsters don't mix well so it was into the woods surrounding the school for a few loops. 16 of them out....finished off with a few sprints on the games field. So good that they all came out.

Sunday Dec 10 #

Orienteering race 59:19 [5] 6.6 km (8:59 / km) +318m 7:15 / km
shoes: ORoc 340

Birsemore Blue
-4 ish, almost enough to put anyone off ..and it seemed to put off a few but they missed a treat. Birsemore at its best..crisp and bright with a snow dusting and frozen puddles and marshes.
Well warmed up once at the start and certainly so after the climbs to 1 and 2. Straight through these two and 3 as well, passing the crocked EC just after that. Nice and clean through the lovely bits of 4 and 5. Could see a line of MAROCs way ahead up the long ride towards 6 and slowly reeled them in..KC, KR and AT in that order. All together pretty much by 6 and it was then a bit of a fun train getting quicker and quicker to the finish. Outsprinted by KC ..who I'd thought was AG anyway!
Biggest bit of dithering was within the circle at 7.
Lovely!
Feeling to be running better again.

Warm up/down 20:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)

To Birsemore Start and back from Finish
