Jura on Sat, I will be going but the achilles is not looking good, I'm just doing some stretching and icing. I'll have to see how it goes.

Isle of Man, Race The Sun - A 100 ish mile relay around the island.
I had leg 2 which is 10ish miles along the beach right to the northern most tip of the island. We started a few hours behind everyone else so it was a solitary time trial. I aimed to run a good tempo for the first 10k then hit it as hard as I could for the rest, this worked well and I ran a decent leg, nothing special but got the job done. It was just a case of running on the hard sand where possible and trying to keep momentum over the soft stuff. After the first few miles you get past a headland and can see the lighthouse at the finish many miles away - it seemed to take forever to get there but despite this it wasn't too bad and I actually really enjoyed being back running hard again. I did not feel my achilles at all during the run but 5min after I finished it was very sore and I spent the rest of the weekend hobbling around.
The team all ran very well and we smashed the record, massive fun.

Recce of leg 7 along the coastal path with Nails and Lloyd. This forms part of one of Lloyd's evening run loops, it is pretty stunning to be honest.
