Corstorphine Hill from work with extra loop at the far end. Ran the usual two hard efforts: 6.14 (1 sec pb) and 7.58 (11 sec down on pb). All out on first but then feeling tired and thirsty in the heat and took a while to recover. Ran strongly on the flat at the start second but suffered on the climbs.

Early morning Pentlands run. More of a "time on feet" session with lots of uphill walking but going well on flat sections towards the end. Generally a bit tired at the start though and struggled to get going.

Last long ride before Celtman. Got in plenty of hills early on and then did a harder 30mins effort on the flat at 4hours (30:30 - 17.8km - 35km/hr - 140 ave). Fairly strong SW wind throughout which made things a bit of a grind a lot of the time. Didn't feel great heading up to 4 hours mark but did the 30mins well and felt better afterwards! Still strong at the end although steeper hills were getting tough.

Corstorphine Hill early morning due to lunchtime meetings. Not feeling tired beforehand but was as soon as I got going - bad nights sleep and/or morning run and/or general training. Put in a hard effort up the hill but struggled with it - 6.39 (well down on best but still better than last year) so just cruised round the rest.

Out to the Portobello pole. Didn't feel I was swimming particularly well again.
