Training Log: Leanimal

Running with a very heavy heart today as the 10 month old son of a woman that I have come to know here in France, Eliott, fights for his life in hospital. He was born with a congenital valve defect in his heart and just underwent two emergency surgeries. You never would have known he was sick. Just a beautiful happy little boy. It just breaks my heart. He is on life support after a mechanical valve was put in and now the next 48 hours are critical.

Hard day to focus on much else.

Morning run before heading to Portofino and then back to France. Missed finding my intended trail and ended up climbing and climbing into the mountains behind Levanto before turning around to descend again. Some great tiny villages up there just perched on the mountainside.
