A weekend without running is an uncommon event... but still filled with plenty of fresh air with 2 games of golf and a lot of standing about at Run Garioch yesterday.

Running Training tempo 19:51 [3] 4.58 km (4:20 / km) +55m 4:05 / km

Lovely wee tempo run from Leisure Centre whilst Oli was at his relocated swimming lesson. Headed up through Cowie and onto the cliff path to golf club, lovely fresh evening. ran on past clubhouse until 11 mins were up then turned and headed back to make it inside 20 mins.
Felt pretty good for having done no running since Thursday. Loved pelting down the single track back to Cowie then a good tempo if not lightning fast back to LC.

Golf 3:30:00 [1]

Fortrose & Rosemarkie GC (83)

Stunning sunny game with Dad on the old stomping ground, really good fun match though he hammered me 4 & 3. (my front 9 scores of 4-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4 not helping)
Even with a 4 over 8 at the 11th I still came back in 39, with three birdies (12, 15 and 17)

Back still achy whole time, but not always hindering me, sometimes the wee 1/2 to 3/4 swing was working well for me.

Golf 4:30:00 [1]

Spey Valley GC, Aviemore (approx. +15)
(4-ball matchplay with Colin Matheson, my Dad and Colin's pal Dougie)

Dad and I won 5 and 3 (Dad chipped in at 15 to win match :D )

Stunning course, very long but we played off the Yellows making things a little easier. Not too bad if you don't stray far off line but punishing for a wild shot. Still I came away 1 ball better off including finding two in deep heather.
Back was a real problem early on, it did loosen off a bit but restricted backswing and was always achy.

Coaching a Short Tempo session for SRC. After an easy w/up sent them from Heugh up Westfield, down Arduthie to Robert St, up to Bath St, 10 mins out then turn and get back in 10 mins.
Few mins to recover and regroup before 5 mins out and back down Slug, up Arduthie and back.
Folk enjoyed the session, most working really hard.
I enjoyed running hard in bits... good to feel good and not break myself.
