Definitely wasn’t feeling like intervals tonight but I’m already in the harriers bad books and don’t want to be kicked out again! Lovely and squidgy underfoot so ground was kind to my calf. Felt fab given this weekends exploits... barring the lead legs:)

GMC Day 2: C Class, 1st overall woohoo!!

Not only were we successfully last start today but we also set off 10mins after starts closed, go us! Calf loosened out over night and was feeling pretty good but feet were numb in sopping wet shoes:( Steadier, but still moving well, today as I was achy and knew we had a comfortable lead, even stopped for a few photo ops!
Orienteering section was on Creag Choinnich which was lovely and nearly all downhill yay! Hobbled back to the hall afterwards with Lizzie and ate more food, drank many a cup of tea and even got a chocolate medal!!
Had such a fun weekend, excited for GMC 2020 now!!

GMC Day 1- C Class, 2hrs47mins on the splits

Dad's mission for us to start dead last, by chatting to every single competitor/ helper he could find, was sabotaged by those Wily Wilsons;) so we set off second last into Morrone Birkwood for the orienteering section. I took charge of the navigation (didn't really trust dad with an orienteering map shh) and it went pretty smoothly!
I handed navigation role onto dad for the MM section which again went well. The views across the Dee were stunning and the weather was perfect! We finished pre-midday so had a long afternoon/ evening of tea drinking, eating and complaining about sore legs!
