Des’ training at the Woden track. Was suppose to be a very fast session (2 warm up 200s, 3 hard 400s then 2 200s as fast as you could with lots of recovery between everything) but didn’t manage that. The first 200s felt alright but absolutely died in the 400s. By the last one it took my knees 100m to warm up and by then I was ages behind and just struggled round the rest of it. Didn’t even do the last 200s cos I knew they would hurt the knees even more. Ugh.

Tried to do some sprint training with Ella at the ANU North. Started with some sprintevals but struggled to push and only managed 2 short ones before I decided I didn’t want to hurt my knees any more so just walked/jogged a few bits. Didn’t realise they were doing so much construction here!
Had a pole vault comp in the morning so was gonna run in the arvo with Ella but my knees were a bit sore and both of us were quite tired so not much happened.

800m athletics race. Actual time was 2:34.33. Was quite warm out and didn’t drink enough before hand. Not a great run :(
