Chill ride with Faither. Boat-Nethy-Tulloch-some cool old council road which joined onto the backroad to Aviemore-Boat. Good to loosen the legs off before going to see Mamma Mia 2 this afternoon ;)

Running race (Hill) 44:01  5.67 km (7:46 / km) +340m 5:58 / km
Tom Na Bat Hill Race (Tomintoul).
Didn’t really know what would come from this, but looked at the map with Joe before and thought that the second climb would be where to pick up places! Started off fine, but half way up the first ascent I got a bleeding nose so walked up the rest to let it settle. Smashed the first descent, got into a good rhythm and overtook some people through the deep heather. Died on the second ascent and then reeled a guy in on the final downhill and overtook him in a sprint finish. 3rd Woman, not sure how far behind yet tho. Good to see Joe take the win!
First hill race done (or any type of running race tbh), felt pretty useless on the ups, really strong on the downs, but overall quite enjoyed it!

Easy run round Dulnain and Curr Woods, slow and steady but took a fair bit of effort to get out the door so better than nothing! Beaut day, and a route I haven’t done before which was good but ended up in some heavy terrain for a bit!

CONTOURSSS! Bit of a shock to the system after Gotland, but really enjoyed it :). More improvements than I was expecting from being away, just need to make sure I don’t fall back into bad habits!

Was going to go for a chill run, then I saw tapes for the time trial round the woods and thought I’d give it a bash.

Terrain TT- over the hill, through the bog then back over the hill.
Last time I did this was May 2017 (whoops kinda forgot to redo) so didn’t really know what to expect. I slowed down too much up the hill at the end, and knew I could’ve been going faster but I struggled to push myself! Might need to go and redo some tapes near the end because I couldn’t see them easily so didn’t have much of a sprint finish.
My time last year was 16:05 so pleased I was a bit faster!
