Event: QOC McKeldin
 

Orienteering 33:00 [3] 3.4 km (9:42 / km) +120m 8:15 / km

Did some contour focused training with Boris and the Mid-Atlantic team before the McKeldin meet.

Orienteering race 1:09:00 [3] 7.4 mi (9:19 / mi) +270m 8:23 / mi

Red Course at McKeldin. Had issues with my shoes sliding on my feet, causing blisters. My hipflexer was protesting the whole way. Slowed down towards the end to accommodate for these problems. Navigationally speaking, I was below average.

Real easy jog to enjoy the 50 degree weather. Reflected on my goals for the upcoming QOC meet.

Running 35:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:45 / mi)

One mile warm up jog. Then five 200m at 38 seconds. Then 10 minute tempo run at 6:20 mile pace. Then five more 200m at 38, 36, 32, 30, and 26 second pace.
