the day slipped by quickly and i scrambled to fit a quick run in before rushing off to work. ran down to fremont bridge and back. it was so warm!

had a bit of trouble calibrating to map scale at beginning so first few controls were not the fastest. started feeling better and able to focus pretty well on keeping moving while looking at the map. ended up leapfrogging with a guy from around control 14 to the end. he was definitely a faster runner but i had a bit of advantage on navigation (!). he ended up finishing ahead of me but when we compared times, found out he had started before me so i was overall faster. having him to compete against for the last part of the map helped keep me focused on navigating and moving so it was pretty cool and fun!

beautiful day out overall and felt good about seeing tangible improvement to my orienteering! :D
