Really enjoyed this course. Good mix of hills, road and technical trails. Little tired coming straight from gardening, moving boxes all day at work (20,000 steps plus strength) but legs were reasonably fresh. Recent stability/stretching has helped heaps with recovery.
Started well in an anti-clockwise loop. Great trails between 30 to 16. Stuffed up at 5 forgetting to turn back to the underpass for 25 and ended up at 24 so did 25 as an out-and-back (200m extra). Flogged it down from 24 to 7 deciding to skip 6. Did the last clockwise loop well and spent ages wondering if I should skip 1 or not. Ended up playing it safe but finished 1min 15sec under so probably a smart move. Not the most efficient route but if I did it again for 600 would go 4-29-18-20-10-9-19-8-30-17-28-27-26-7-15-2-12-11-1-21-13-24-6-16-5-25-22-14-3

West SSS #1 - Bella Vista
Been a while since i've done a score course so decided to go for them all and test what speed i had in my legs. Ran quite well with no Hounslow soreness leftover but in hindsight i would've skipped 4, 7 and 5 as it turned out to be a very long course. Started off well clicking off 4min/km splits for 4km which includes a double crossing of a fence at 18 and a wall scramble at 12 - granted the first 6km were a gradual downhill too. Feeling good until 29 at 6km mark where i ran past a pole in the bush and had to come to a full stop to look at map and lost momentum. Struggled on the slog back up the hills - was running up them ok but no leg speed under 4min/km on the flat which is expected. Good tester though and definitely faster than this time last year.
Errors: Should've ran around the tennis court to 12 (10 sec) Should've ran across the oval to 18 to avoid fence jump (10 sec) Initially had an efficient route with 26-22-9 but stuffed it up and went past 9 twice (20 sec) Potential shortcut from 20 to 13 (10 sec) Missed 29 completely and had to backtrack (1min) Hesitant 2m high fence jump near 17 (10 sec)
