Running long 1:09:47 [3] 12.53 km (5:34 / km)
shoes: X-Talon 212 2016

Forest explore from Longcross Plain
Down through King's Garn gutter, Bramshaw golf course edge (didn't hit the path nearer the fence), up to Ocknell campsite down and around Janesmoor. Lovely day and quite a tough run. A bit too off roady and pathless in places. Probably need a bit better plan and to stick to paths with Nicole in future. Good O running training for me!

Running 25:36 [2] 4.97 km (5:09 / km)

Moors Valley parkrun with Rach and Rob
Pretty chilled, worked our way through a bit after the start. Less chatty by the end! Got distracted looking at the smaller trails to the side!

Forgot my bum bag and then main head torch didn't work... Not ideal!

Orienteering race 54:33 [4] 10.86 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Paradox 4

Wessex Night League Chandler's Ford Knightwood 2nd
Not ideal not having my main O lamp, then Nick borrowed one of my spares. Alpkits okay for a bit of trail running but woefully under powered and a narrow beam. Felt quite nervous before, not really sure why. Thought I'd give myself up to a minute to nail a good route then go. Plan also became minimise risk in the woods, paths were indistinct and the light wasn't good enough to run quickly. Always thought I'd be able to clear up, a few ones near the end required a bit of route choice thinking. 2nd behind Nick Jarvis, 2:40 down. He's definitely got faster running speed than me currently. Twisted my left ankle in one woods section. Orienteered pretty well, felt steadily strong and in control.

Running 41:10 [3] 8.05 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Hoka Arahi 2

Southampton Common
Was going to do a session but decided to save the legs for one effort a week (night league on Thurs). Shoes felt weird to begin with, like all the cushioning had gone. Tightened them up, then felt too constrictive on the soles of my feet. Both calves tight when running. Legs felt okay after. Bum quite tight after last night's strength work, did the monster walk in a different way that seemed to work the glutes more.
