Had another rest day today. I'm of the mind that this won't last that long provided I rest it completely; I'd rather take 2-3 days off than 2-3 months! It's a LOT better today so will aim to run (the 60' w/ diagonals) as planned tomorrow.

Calf still tight. Pedalled about on the bike but chose caution as the better option so stopped almost straight away.
Issue definitely lessening. Have a sports massage booked for this afternoon. Will potentially try to run beforehand to see how it goes.

Easy 60' w/ strides (did not do strides)
Legs generally felt good with no hang-ups in terms of fatigue from the weekend. Tried because of the relatively early start but soon went once I'd got into it and after a decent warm-up.
One concern was the building tightness/tension in my right soleus again. Felt rock solid in the last 10-15' of the run and so I omitted the strides and walked the final km or so to school. It wasn't painful but definitely very tight and has been since.
I spent every opportunity during the school day self-massaging and doing some stretching to the limit of what was comfortable. Probably spoke too soon about having gotten away with it. I'm really hoping that it's 'just' tightness that will work itself out but it didn't go away or loosen on the run and so stopping was the only course of action I really felt I had.

6 x 8' hills. 38.32km w/ 1,105m ascent.
Rode out after work, beautiful day, warm in the sun but with a decent breeze to keep you cool.
Along to Lorton then up the Boonbeck climb. Felt tired each time on every rep on the steep bank right at the very start but then settled for the remainder of the effort.
Stayed seated on all reps and kept within the 7-10' mark. Legs were definitely less responsive and fresh than usual but not to the detriment of the session from a 'feel' point of view I don't think.

Had some work for Charlie and MountainRun course proving for the KMF 50k. Got paid to train so that makes me a pro, right?!
Anyway, legs were predictably tired so I took it very, very easy, walking the steepest hills and trotting the downhills. Felt pretty good, relative to the day before, on the flats and gentler gradients.
No stiffness or tenderness whatsoever, just that general fatigue. Maybe longer distances are my 'thing'??
A little bit of tenderness on the balls of my feet from the day before and some slight tightness in my shin (scar tissue from the issue I had a couple of years ago) developed immediately after running but I'm happy that I know how to keep on top of it; rolling it out with a hockey ball and some self massage.
