A very very good run on B Ridge with Flan, couldn't have been better. Early, cool, overcast. Cycled to carpark for Ridge. Was expecting flan to turn up on foot as she was going to make it a long run by adding the 10k or so from her house and back. She turned up on a bike and I thought oh no, it's not going to be slow. Warmed up with an easy run on FT's to the start of the logrun hill (about 10 minutes). Only had to walk a few metres here and there to warm up although felt a bit of morning slowness (had 2 x tea with Ym but no brekkie).

We stopped for a moment then had a really good 30 minutes of hard for me, cruisy for flan, as I showed her my favourite string of mtb tracks, hills and changing vegetation, taking in the end of Ridge back to where health run meets Pipeline FT. It was much nicer than when I tried it a few days ago because no traffic noise. Continued down health run to bottom, up daviesia to end at the FT hill at side of caravan park. Flan then did 5x (42-43 second) hills absolutely nailing the pace every time while I operated timing device and enjoyed the activities of a white throated tree creeper.

After a very necessary rest we had a 10 minutes cool down then cycled back to mine for tea and chat. Absolutely top morning all round after a blissful sleep after an osteo treatment of neck and head.

Black mtn with Ym so no running. But the company was worth it. Lovely night last night, top morning sleeping in and lazing then absolutely gorgeous sunny spring day. Was hardly much exercise and neither was yesterday so hope to fit in a run later. Having my first bite to eat and it's nearly 3pm.

mt taylor looking it's best after abundant rain overnight. Angie was great company and lots of birds and roos added much pleasure. Possibly saw the rarer white-bellied cuckoo-shrike (more than one). Saw a group of ?yellow-rumped thornbills hopping on short grass near path and bathing in a tiny rock pool formed by the rain - so sweet to see as they are so tiny.

On bruce ridge with Crumin, taking in the outer edges of the far end. enjoyed the change of scenery down there although traffic noise is a bit intrusive. Log run, burin, belco sb, health run. Pipeline to home. I started some run ints once we got onto the mtb for a total of 10 mins. C not running today so had to keep looping back. Felt fast, good form, with bit of L hammy sensation. But pretty good really.

to Kate's for Erin's birthday dinner. Japanese green soy beans, chinese broccoli, rice, then profiteroles and some kind of very light, very sweet champagne, then a bad cup of tea (wrong milk).
Cycling very pleasant and warm.

I don't think I've EVER felt so good in a yoga class, my body was sing, sing, singing. After no practice at all for more than a month - well maybe a few back stability things here and there and a downward dog - I felt fluid, flexible, strong, no trouble with a deep crossed legged position (no cushions), and great balance (i could do tree with arms open and looking up at ceiling). Delights of class were matched by beauty of the spring day with all the gardens of ainslie and campbell looking lush and shining.

The best part was SLOW downward dog to cat to dog, aaaaahhhhh!
