Maybe started a tiny bit too quick so paces dropped off a little but that was also largely to do with me having quite a large/late lunch which I definitely regretted.

With Josh who's doing marathon training at the moment so a little quicker than I would normally do for longruns but nothing ridiculous. I don't notice any difference in how I feel when I'm actually running (maybe that's because of the company) but I feel like faster paces for this kind of thing take it out of me more after for little extra benefit. So not going to be a regular thing (happy to stick to 4:42s) but it was nice to give Josh some company for part of his session today.

MUAC 5k
Plan was to pace for 15:40 (3:08s) but found myself sitting nicely in the middle of the front pack and 3:05s were feeling really good. A group of about 4/5 of us kept changing positions but keeping up a pretty consistent pace and it was still feeling surprisingly good (through 3k in 9:16 I think). The group started to split up a little with about a k to go, one guy got away in front and I pushed ahead of the others to end up 2nd in my heat with a huuge pb. Absolutely stoked.
