Beautiful evening for night-o. Overall, I navigated well, but had a couple of smallish errors. #1 I misread the contours and dropped down into the reentrant before the control (I thought the hill was a depression). #6 I had a hard time seeing the terrain through the buckthorn. I left the trail as it flattened out, and looked for the slope up, but couldn't see it. When I started going downhill on the other side of the saddle, I turned and went back, then saw the slope up. #9 I went too far on the trail (I missed the indistinct path), then got turned 90 degrees. Fortunately, I caught and corrected my orientation glitch, but then was slow going through the rough open and very thick buckthorn. #12 I had a brain freeze and passed at the trail split. Ultimately it wouldn't have made much difference which branch I took, but I lost way too much time on a short leg.
