The dreaded 5 x 5 (90s)

Told myself to 'man up'

Did so quite succesfully, completed the 1500m loop and a little bit further each rep.

Tough session but you know it reaps rewards. Helps with such a decent group too.

Urban Orienteering race 37:21 [5] 5.5 mi (6:47 / mi)

Selby urban - 1st

Probably the best urban of the year*

A good mix of areas and good planning kept me on my toes throughout.
Made a few wobbles
Went east to #1, west is clearly quicker
Wobbled to #2 as planning ahead to #3 distracted me and ended up at the eastern end of the high street not as planned
Set off from #3, very briefly, in the wrong direction
#13, meant to go to the west of #3 but ended up going through #2 by mistake
Curved towards the closed gate after #14 before realising
Coped with sprinty section well but had to drop the pace slightly.

Pencil in Selby next time there is an event here

Very good to see water at the end too.
Only downside was the poor control hanging, probably lost 30s in total faffing!

* - I don't think 2017 has been a great year for urban courses, I'll rank all the ones I've done after Castle Vale

Adel Sprint Event PreAGM - 1st

Told myself I wouldn't run fast but having Dave as hare 1 minute ahead was too tempting, and also knowing Jack had run 17 and a half.

Running 16:20 [2] 2.1 mi (7:47 / mi)
